♦ In the Godhead. God is three distinct persons – God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit – In one true God. – Genesis 1:1-2, Isaiah 9:6,1 Corinthians 8:6, 2 Corinthians 3:17, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Colossians 2:9
Note: From the beginning of creation in Genesis to the end of times in Revelation, God refers to Himself as “us” or “our” and thus describes the doctrine of the Trinity. The word ‘”trinity” is not in the Bible, yet is referenced for teaching purposes. The word “trinity'”comes from “tri” meaning three and “unity” meaning one.
♦ Jesus Christ is true God and true man. – Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Isaiah 9:6
♦ The Holy Spirit is a divine person. – 1 Corinthians 2:11, 1 Corinthians 2:10-11, Romans 8:2
♦ The Old and New Testament are God’s divinely inspired words. – 2 Timothy 3:16
♦ All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God and are in need of salvation. – Romans 3:23
♦ Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all men. – Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9
♦ It is the will of God that every Believer be filled with the Holy Spirit. – Luke 11:13, Ephesians 5:8, Acts 2:4, Acts 1:8, Acts 4:31
