We’ve all been there before…looking for your glasses and they are on top of your head! Or searching high and low for your keys just to find them in your pocket. That immediate feeling of a heart attack when you lose sight of your child for a split second in the store, and then you turn around and they’re right behind you. Naturally, we feel more comfortable and in control when everything is in its place and accounted for. That feeling of anxiety is replaced with relief once the lost has been found.
I have found the same to be true with God. In my past, I spent so much time searching for him, not realizing that he was right there with me all along. The trouble in searching for something our eyes cant see, is that without faith it is impossible to find.
For me, living in a constant state of searching for something I thought was missing left me exhausted! It’s burdensome worrying about every aspect of this life and trying to figure out the missing pieces to make the whole puzzle fit together.
So finally one morning as I sat before the Lord in prayer, I realized I was overwhelmed by all the moving pieces of my life. There was the mom life and wife life I was trying to balance. Then there was church and ministry and figuring out my purpose. Add in the much needed alone time and rest I was seeking, and I honestly thought I was in over my head!
I also felt convicted! There I was literally grumbling about being BLESSED beyond measure! But God in his grace, lovingly declared to me in that moment a beautiful revelation:
I AM THAT I AM AND I AM HERE FOR YOU
God had wrecked me in the most amazing way! He began to tear down and dismantle my wrong thinking and attitude. I realized that I wasn’t going to have to figure out all the details of my life on my own. God had always been there for me and he would continue to lead me as I surrender my life to him.
God reminded me that he is exactly who his word says he is and that means anything and everything I need, HE IS. What I was searching for in everything else other than Jesus, was available all along through relationship with him. The security I was looking for in money, the love I was looking for through relationships, the approval I was seeking from social media… I found it all in Christ and so much more!
What are you seeking after today? What void in your life are you searching to fill? What missing piece to your life’s puzzle do you believe you need to find in order to be whole?
Be encouraged, the search is over! There are many questions but yet one answer. There is nothing you desire in this life that can’t be found in Jesus. He wants to help you in every detail along your journey. God is not afar off. He is actually closer than your next breath! Whatever you need, God says ” I Am“.

Awesome! We truly get beside ourselves sometimes in a life so busy with LIFE we forget that this life was given to us by the God who says that he is the I AM in every aspect of our lives. If we could just stop for a moment and remember those revelational two words we can rest in knowing that the I AM is everything we need to have peace, love, strength, joy and abundance!
Great topic really enjoyed the flow of the blog especially the questions and encouragement sections I’m super proud of how your using your relationship with God as a testimony to help others keep blogging. 🙂

Tianga, I was Inspired when I first read your blog and even more so the second and third times as I really took the time to digest the messages tucked within it. Your love for Him is evident and I appreciate your hearts desire and initiative to make Him known (John 17:3).
